ATI Rage 128 Pro / Rage 128 Pro Ultra

The card's core clock ran at 125 MHz and memory was clocked at 143 MHz.

The Rage 128 Pro apparently does not work in Windows 3.1.

OEM versions of the Rage 128 Pro were released, simply called Rage 128 Pro Ultra. These came in a variety of flavours, with some OEMs' cards reducing the core clock down to 118 MHz while others pushed it to 143 MHz. Memory clocks were also somewhat variable - some Ultras were set to a slower 133 MHz memory clock.

The Rage 128 Pro Ultra apparently doesn't work with the standard ATI drivers without a change in the .INF file and deleting the line with the subsys code of 'generic rage128pro'.

All Rage 128 Pro versions are compatible with DirectX 6.0 and OpenGL 1.2.

Competition

The ATI Rage 128 Pro offers comparable performance to nVidia Riva TNT2, Matrox G400 and Voodoo3 2000, but it wasn't a match for the nVidia Riva TNT2 Ultra VG400 Max or Voodoo3 3500.
